PT on windows sucks so badly compared to PT on mac.
This is because those programmers don't know shit about coding in Windows period.
I don't wanna see any body arguing over this, that's it!
just test PT on both platforms: windows version resource hog, mac version runs smoothly!

not to piss anybody off by bringing back a 13 day old thread but i was just curious... i know how to punch in in cubase, but im seeing alot of empty space in parts there that are so tiny and just curious as to why they're there?

Most likely unnecessary sections of audio with nothing in them, except maybe noise. I go through every track of tom, guitar, bass and vocals and either use strip silence or manually edit out anything that doesn't have a performance going, makes for a much cleaner sound IMO, especially on tom/snare tracks. Then consolidate so it's one solid track again, just dead quiet unless they are playing/singing.

That's what I do too, and it works great! Especially vocals, I strip everything when the singer is not singing, because he migth clear his throat or make any noise at all you don't want on the final product.
