Ultimate Metal Music Machine

I have not played guitar in around 5 months. I had some major problems with this chick and it somehow was linked to my guitar. Can't touch it.

If anyone wants me to do clean vocals...

I need lyrics

I'm not too impressive though

And don't we need a key to be in, if we are all submitting riffs?

^That is a good question. I personally have no preference. Any recommendations? We've had two members talk about a dirty ass Beherit sound, which I think is great. We can always expand on it if need be.

I figure we can do this: anyone upload a file of a recorded section (even if it is a cello/violin/other stringed instrument), when we have a few uploads we can collaborate on them. I for one am for a massive Death/Black/Thrash/etc whatever combo song. Fucking technical instrumentals spread randomly across tasteful breakdowns - anything is fair game as long as it sounds good (which shouldn't be hard at all).

Lyrics/vocals - I think they will at the very least have to wait until there is a structure (or at the bare minimum one measure to see what direction the sound is going to head toward).

Female vocals: I think it can be to our advantage, well placed vocal lines can make the most sloppy work sound beautiful - we can easily find a place for them, but I think we should wait on vocals till we get a few bars made.

Krig, how high can you hit a note? Mayhaps we should get some falsetto's leading the charge while some black shrieks and guttural death groans lead the the way into something most depraved.

I play guitar (D standard). I can't get a particularly wonderful sound in my current situation, but it is very easy for me to record something. I can also program drums, which I think I've gotten pretty decent at. I used to do harsh vocals for my band, but I don't have a vocal mic (just a laptop mic) and honestly I was never particularly good.

I'm a drummer and I do have several music editing programs so I'm game.
