UM Mix CD Discussion

It's pretty funny how I was giving viewer shit in the other thread for not sending out my mix CD and to my surprise, it came today. Listening now and so far I'd say it's a pretty excellent mix. Big thumbs up to you, sir.
 
I've been too distracted with school lately to really absorb a lot of what Omni sent me, especially because it's all so different from what I normally listen to, but I've found a lot that I've really enjoyed here, some of which I've heard a bit of years ago but never went back to or always wanted to hear but just never did. I really like especially the various songs I've heard from Swans, Dead Can Dance, Tenhi, and Current 93. I already knew Elend, but I now have the motivation to actually finally buy some of their stuff. She also finally turned me on to the greatness of early Queen material.

Other bands I liked include Death In June, Cocteau Twins, Biosphere, The Angelic Process, Blutklinge, Sad Legend, Empyrium, Nazxul, Sigur Ros, Stars of the Lid, This Mortal Coil, The World of Skin, and Von Thronstahl.

The Angels of Light, Amesoeurs, Joy Division, Killing Joke, and Diamanda Galas I would like to hear more from before I really decide what I think of them. A few other things I didn't particularly care for and will probably never hear again.

Am I gay now?
 
I'm glad that you enjoyed it so much. I know which songs you hated. ;)

I'll gladly hook you up with more from any of the artists that you'd like to hear more of before looking into buying their albums, so just let me know which ones you're interested in. :)

Oh, and if anyone else wants to listen to one of my mixes, I'll probably arrange something where I host it somewhere so that anyone who wants to hear it can just ask me.

Oh, and Matthew, you're totally gay now for liking so much non-metal. :D
 
i'm not sure how useful i'd be in the metal mix cd department but i've got over 1000 classical cds that i could make a cool mix cd of if someone were interested. i'd throw on one of my own compositions also. :cool: of course you'd have to send me something kickass in return.

I'm in, for cereals. In fact feel free to make as many CDrs as you physically can, and I'll return the favor with the HEAVY METALS.

ok... might be a while before i get to it... send me your address... something's i'd definitely like would be the first two Master's Hammer cds... i'd just buy them normally but they are out of print and i'm not paying $40 for that.
is there a theme you'd like or just anything?

Anything you want, really, as long as it's not gay.

TBH, I'd like to do this after Christmas since I'm focusing (or trying to focus) on school right now, but I definitely want to do it.
