Yeah.. Waylander are indeed one of the best in the blackened-folk metal business, imo. Probably the best now that Pagan Reign is no longer around. With this new album maybe they'll finally get their due.:kickass:

You're form Ireland, i take it? My mom was born and raised there and i hope to get back there sometime this summer to visit my relatives. If Waylander plays in Dublin i definitely should plan my trip around it. :D

Cheers!

I like the music, but I'm not a huge fan of blackesque vocals. I do like Skyforger, but am also not as fond of the songs with the black-style vocals.

Hell, i didn't like any kind of death/black vocals until around 1 1/2 years ago. I remember the first time i heard them as a kid i thought there was something wrong with the recording. But death and black vocals have really grown on me lately to the point that everything else sounds like fuckin' elevator music to me now. I'd love to find some good black/death duets. :D

I haven't heard much Skyforger though, but I hear a lot of raving about them. What's their best most black/death album?

See I used to be really into death/black vocals and not much else. As I get older, I enjoy more variety.

Dark Tranquility - Shadow Duet

Also, with The Black Dahlia Murder the vocalist does the screams and the guitarist does the growls and they switch a lot, so it's kinda a duet...
