US tour with Katatonia and Swallow The Sun!!!

I went to the last gig on the tour on Thursday, and of course it was awesome as always. I am really going to miss Orphaned Land, they are all such great guys.

Hello.
I was at the Chicago show a few weeks back.
The only disc I have of OL is MABOOL.
Amazing disc. I wasn't sure how well their music would come off live, but HOLY SMOKES!!! OL seriously stole the show, and I am a big KATATONIA fan to boot.

I am actively seeking out all OL discs now.
Their performance definitely made me a fan.

Jasonic, I get what your saying about the live sound. Have you also noticed that the orchestration of the songs live is a bit different from the album versions?

Yes, I definitely noticed the difference in orchestration.
Made the songs even more powerful live.
Would have loved to hear "Halo Dies".

Yes, they sound completely different live than on album.

Not better, not worse, just different - more energy. They steal the hearts and minds of anyone caught in a room with them. I was introduced to them at ProgPower X, and the one band that blew the crowd away in Shock and Awe was OL.
