Using an ENGL e530 preamp with impulses?

Alright, so I've got my ENGL e530 and a Line 6 UX2. How do I set these two up so I can get a good signal chain going through some impulses? Which output do I use? The regular? Frequency compensated? Headphone out (with the poweramp?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm a huge noob, so a step by step would be optimal. Cheers!

Try effects send, or whatever output is used to feed a power amp.
