I have to admit that idea of an In Flames remix album sounds horrible to me. The Club Connected remix was basically taking the best bits out of a mediocre song and replacing some of it with ...almost empty space. It only served to make the song a million times worse. I've not even listened to the My Sweet Shadow remix. The Moonshield C64 version was okay in a "that's quite cool" kind of way, but a couple of listens are more than enough.
I'm not fond of remixes at all. There are barely any that interest me. The only remixes I like that I can think of offhand are the ones on Ephel Duath's "Rephormula". They (remixes) just seem so futile. If an artist has a vision of their song and they then record that song, then what possible value is there to changing that sound? Particularly if remixing involves removing bits. Blah, blah and more blah.
The only thing I want Orjan Ornkloo to do is reform Misery Loves Co.
