...Gotta big problem.
I like to do alot of windmilling.
And also verticle sledgehammers.

My hair gets really tangled bros.
I dont know how to stop it.
After a show I cant even get a brush through
it without ripping half it out. So I have to wait
until the next shower and condition the shit
out of it just to try and get a brush through it
without pulling most of it out.

What do I do?!?!?!?!???!?!?!?!????

I never knew there exist terms for types of headbanging

Condition your hair before a gig.
Cut the tails once in a while.
Brush you hair from the bottom to the top, not viceversa!
Make sure your hair is healthy (Biotin, Vitamin E,... FTW)
Get some intense hair cure from the store....

If you headbang a lot you won't get rid of tangled hair but these tips should help minimize it.

It also depends a lot on the hairtype, thick hair = less trouble. blablah

The vertical sledgehammer is trademarked and not to be used outside the permission of darkness inc. :err:

From bottom to top? How the hell is that possible?:err:
Plus I have thinner hair, naturally straight. So it loves to
wrap around itself. If the wind blows outside for more than
3 minutes off and on. It gets tangled as fuck

ok...What do you do when you're on tour playing shows everyday and you don't have a shower nearby for a day or 4 lol

Dealing with knots is a small price to pay to look good while rocking out.

By small i mean incredibly painfull and tediously long.

lol tell me about it. Apparently George fisher didn't shower for 9-11 days on one tour.

I found an old copy of Metal Hammer lying around before from early 2002 :OMG: and there was a thing about Machine Head on tour in there, apparently Rob Flynn didn't shower for either 14 or 19 (one of the two, i can't remember exactly which) days o_O

Your hair sounds the same as mine^^
I can have perfectly untangled hair and then tie it back before I go to bed and when I get up in the morning it's tangled again

But before gigs I wash it with shampoo and conditioner and I find that helps a lot, as I think someone said earlier in the thread :)

I think he meant using downward brush strokes of 10cm or less starting from near the end of the hair length. Once that area is done move up the hair length 10cm and start again. Repeat the process.

OH okay... Sometimes I do this because its the only way to get a brush through it. It will not go from top to bottom without ripping it all to shit.

It is a price to pay. Not to mention half the hair volume by doing it because
reguardless of what you do you end up ripping some out every damn time.

Cut your hair. No hair -> no problem :p
Rediculous :)

no shower for 4 days? man... that's disgusting...

Very.

WTF !?!?! i mean this is ridiculous..........

hm. You must have been referring to the cut your hair post above. n00b.

that's not so bad, my friend gets chunks of hair stuck in his upper strap button and tuning pegs. he handed me his guitar after a gig once and there was still hair around the straplock.

Thats kind of grody. Reminds me of my old rythem guitarist, He played without a shirt sometimes at practice and he sweat excessively, So all that curly greasy looking hair, Was all over his fuckin back, Stuck on there. Looked like a goddamn siamese cat or something with all the loose stuck hairo_O

I always use conditioner, Usually pantene proV moisture renewal.
Maybe I need to switch it up, WHats the best conditioner
you guys with thinner hair have used?

Here's the solution right here. Worked flawlessly for me.

Right. well hair isnt just "hair" to me. I look and feel alot more comfortable with longer hair. Just fits my features better on my face for one thing and i love my hair. Or else Id shave it. I have before, And hated every day of it
until it grew back.
