Lots to say about this wonderful record. As usual all the elements are there that make this band great: the interesting riffs, unique structures, progressive elements and the sublime melodies, many of which are hidden and/or appear quickly throughout the songs and don't repeat. For that reason I'd suggest headphones for a proper listening. Early favorites are "An Ember's Arc" and "The Smoke of Many Fires." All in all, this is a very strong record - not quite up to par with Stone's Reach, but better than Of Breath and Bone - and I'm sure it will be on my year end list. Your thoughts?
