ok... why is nobody talking about this movie, yet? am i truly the only comic book/graphic novel geek here??
i just got in from seeing this movie for the 2nd time.

if you're familiar with the graphic novel, you'll definitely love the movie. if you're not, you'll want to get familiar with it after seeing this.

it's not the typical superhero movie and the storyline, with all the flashbacks and mingled storylines can get a little complicated. you have to pay attention, but it's well worth it [as well as worth the nearly 3 hours you'll spend in the theater].

the violence can be rather intense in some parts, there's a lot of blue man frontal nudity and at least one scene that might be considered softcore porn. it earned it's 'R' rating.

i definitely give this one 5 out of 5 stars.

MOVIE.OF.THE.YEAR.

I've see it 1x, I thinks its awesome
I'll check it out again but will have to do a little traveling as I want to see it on iMAX
can't wait for the DVD
I a big fan of Alan Moore(I know his name is not on the Watchmen Movie)
I do not have every individual comic of his
but do have every graphic novel that he is associated with in any way -

yup. this one is definitely on my 'to buy' list. i cant wait for it to come out on dvd.

I saw it on Imax. It was cool. Not one of my favorites. It lacked a decent soundtrack I think. The best music was for the Comedians funeral. That Rorschaht guy (spelling?) was a bad mofo. I never read the comic, or ANY comic for that matter. Its a good flick but not for everyone that is for sure. It isn't a feel good movie at all hah. Ill grab the blu-ray

Rorschach was MOST DEFINITELY a bad mofo!
the prison scenes were the highlight of the movie, for me.

i actually liked the soundtrack for it's 'quirky' darkness.
the scene where the Comedian jumps into the middle of the activists rioting in the street while K.C. and the Sunshine Band's 'Boogie Man' played was exceptional. :worship:

I like movie soundtracks made to fit the movie. I think watchmen could have benefited from that. The tossed in tunes werent too shabby

I had no previous knowledge of Watchmen and had no difficulty digesting the plot and following the story. I thought the movie was great.
Do you think the actor that played Rorcschack just expanded the role he played as Moocher in Breaking Away?

no. i saw it more as an extension of his character, 'Kelly Leak,' from the original 'The Bad News Bears.' :Smokin:
