Hey, what do you know about their families? Are they married? Have any children? Maybe some info on the parents of each of them? For it's really hard to find anything about this in their interviews or such.

I wrote like two full pages about them and their families, and then fucking fuck-ultimate-fucking-metal SHUT DOWN. And then when I got back the message was gone and the fucking thread was empty...

Well.... I can write a little again. The interesting part is not about Jonas(J) and Anders(A) families, but about their friends, that pretty much make a family itself. It's funny that my favorite bands(the faces, those who write music and creates it) edge of sanity (Dan Swanö), opeth(Micke Åkerfeldt) and katatonia(J and A) are best friends. They're not in the same age really but however, they grew up in Sörskogen in Huddinge, outside Stockholm. The relationship with Micke, Dan, J and A is the interesting part in J and A's personal life.
As far as I know they don't have any children, J and A. The romour says that they don't have any stable girlfriends either, but I can't garantee that.
I don't know anything about their parents. A little about Mickes and Dans, but that's not relevant I guess. If they want us to know something more about their personal life, they would probably publish it themselves. J and A arn't really public persons you know, it's not their style, at least not J's. If you have studied their lyrics, as your SIGNATURE says, you should know this, or at least guess it. I think it would scare them if they found out that their fans was sneaking, spying on their parents
Things like this, when ppl wants to know too much, makes life as an artist difficult. And I'm allmost certain of that at least Jonas would hate too much attention.

I heard Jonas became a father last year. But I don't know if he still is involved with the mother or not. Frankly, I don't feel it is mine or anybody's business unless Jonas himself were to make a statement about that. I think when a musician becomes popular, they should still receive the respect and discretion between their public and private lives. However, if we ever hear a "happy" Katatonia album that sounds like Polyphonic Spree or whatever the hell it is, then I think we'll know they both have lots of love in their lives. But until that day, Viva Emptiness!!!!

You'll find the information about their personal life on their personal profile..usually if something relevant happens, like the birth of a child for example, they let the fans know through their official site. so so far, a part from Anders, they are all fathers with a child and girlfriend. I don't think none is married, but in Sweden is quite common to live together without being married, I think you have almost the same rights as a married couple, there's not a big difference.

Anyways I think it's right they have their own privacy, it's up to them to share news about their personal life with their fans or not.

i mean, when you really appreciate something/someone, you USUALLY try to know everything about it/him/her...
i'm sure we dont want to know about them just to know "if they're cool people or not", the point is merely to know how they hang on life...
after all they're human beings and they hate, fuck, eat, shit, love and party...
it is just that i think that surely got some special way of living, 'cos it is necessary to live through many situations to make this kind of music.
