One of the oldest (yet most effective) ways to get some forum interaction going.... "What are you listening to today?"

Provide a sample link if easy to find, but don't let that stop you from posting. I just want to hear from you!

I'll start with the latest 2020 release from The Pineapple Thief, "Versions of The Truth", in preparation for their "Nothing But The Truth" livestream tomorrow April 22nd...

Very nostalgic idea!
My music tastes are a little more varied than they used to be. For example, I've been listening to some of the following almost ritualistically as they've been among my absolute favorites lately.

Here's a couple:

MANTICORA - Katana - The Moths and the Dragonflies / Katana - Mud
DYNAZTY - Threading the Needle
CREYE - Broken Highway
FEAR FACTORY - Disruptor
TIM FEEHAN - Look Before You Leap*

*Always gotta mix some 80s music in there too...
Edit: Woops my bad, that's from 1990.

69 views and 2 replies really tells you how dead this forum is becoming.....

Today's playlist at work:

Marty Friedman - Tokyo Jukebox 3
Tony MacAlpine - Violent Machine
Dream Theater - Wake Up! (live bootleg from the Awake tour)

I've been running up and down Erra's discography for days (the new disc is an absolute monster). Also I found Spiritbox earlier this year and wow am I excited for what they put out.

the lead single from the new Erra

Spiritbox single from last year

Actually lately I'm finding a ton of prog/tech in metalcore and just bathing in it. Crystal Lake, from Japan, has blown me away with their particular brand of technical metalcore. Can't get enough of these folks.

A new friend also got me into Architects, and their new album is an excellent blend of drama, emotion, and technicality. Every tune on this album has a poppy/bop swing feel that's kinda different in metal but I dig it.

Decided to approach my research backlog today. Started with this uh...mushroom/slug themed blackened progressive death metal outfit...and they're quite badass it turns out.

Enjoyed the Erra's music and Spiritbox's video. Especially Erra. Thanks for posting as I had not previously heard anything from either of these two bands.

Thanks for reminding me that I need to give that DGM disc more spins.
