What are your most valuable 80s collectors items?

Jeeze, I had 2 80's Ibanez Jems a DSY & LNG (#239/777) that were dead mint. Sold due to having no job for a year. Made a buttload of money on them, but the LNG was never owned until I got it, and the DSY was absolutely tweaked to perfection, for my playing.... I miss those guitars dearly! As far as Autographed stuff, I have Rock & Roll Machine autographed by triumph, Metal Church's The Dark, Saxon - Strong Arm of the Law, UFO Mechanix, Iron Maiden - Maiden Japan, Had Adrian, Bruce, Dave, & Clive sign my guitar lessons book too (Harris wasn't there). I also got one of the last sigs Ozzy gave at an instore appearance promoting the Tribute record. I honestly thought Ozzy would be dead in less than a year, he looked AWFUL......None of these were "bought" signed, I was a persistant little bastard back then....
Oh, one of my Krokus albums is signed too, I think it was Meta Rendevouz....

How is all that relevant to my posts?

Have you any idea where you posted your question ??? :loco:
You're now inside the worlds most prominent Heavy Metal board and dropped inside a thread of 1980's Metal collectibles .... But no worries, we're no bad guys :D If I could help you I would, maybe Kittybeast can help you in the good direction of your search ! Good luck !!!

Coco pups, you've obviously stumbled across what you thought was a collectables site...but it is the Ultimate Metal forum. All music, all metal, all the time.

I picked up my Fractured Fairytales at Target. I don't know anything about the other books or movies you are talking about. I'm sure you've searched ebay and amazon as they along with searching the internet are you best bets for locating something. Good Luck to you.

I have a few items I sort of fancy

Toxik - World Circus vinyl
a Coroner "No More Color" tour shirt from '89
Laaz Rockit - Annihilation Principle
Heathen - Victims of Deception
Anacrusis - Reason
Doomsday News III - Live In Berlin (is this even rare? I have no clue)

Nothing too big, but hey, not bad for only being alive for 10 months out of the whole decade:D

Maybe not so special, but I'm glad I own it :)

Megadeth - So Far So good....So What? original release
Tokyo Blade - Tokyo Blade LP
Tank - Power of the Hunter LP
A II Z 7" I'm the one who loves you
Agent Steel - Unbstoppable Force LP
Witchfynde - Give E'm Hell LP
Witchfynde - Stagefright LP

The item in my collection which is probably worth the most is a copy of Open Up And Say ... Ahh with the unedited cover and lyric insert it's an Australian tour pack on green vinyl with four swap cards nos 5-8 (out of 16 if anyone knows where I can get the rest please let me know) in near mint condition and I'd hazard a guess that it's never been played (certainly not by me) as for the item in the colection that has the most personal value that will take some thinking about

W.A.S.P. - The Headless Children on 12" pic disc
Kiss - Asylum vinyl signed by Bruce Kulick!

And also probably my Nitro - O.F.R. vinyl, its not a collectors item or anything special just another average vinyl lol, but just coz its so damn hard to find, and it took me a year of searching before I found it.

too bad I didnt know about that Nitro album..I have sealed copies of this LP still kicking around...

I recently had to put down my Black Sabbath "Black and Blue' tour concert shirt :{
I had tons of cool 80's metal stuff that I sold in the past few years (you know it goes: you get married, the wife thinks you're crazy for having all this shit, etc!).
stuff like originals demos from Death, Liege Lord, Whiplash, My Dying Bride, etc.
SA Slayer's debut EP. Sigh...
Autographed Accept's "Restless and Wild" on red vinyl. Sigh...
Queensryche's debut EP on oroginal label, with fan club letter and autographed photo before they got signed.
Tons of great flyers, zines, etc...
But my favorite piece I still have: a poster hangs in my office for a Venom British tour. Not that big of a deal, except for the bottom left-hand corner: "with special guest: Metallica 'Kill em All'"...
Sigh. Now I have bummed myself out heh!

I too have Heathen - Victims of Deception (cd), WASP - Animal (F like a Beast) pic disc, and the Metallica Creeping Death 12 inch pic disc.

I fancy my two Vendetta cds, Go and Live...Stay and Die, and Brain Damage. Pretty rare stuff.

I own the Megaforce Records compilation "Power Chords" from 1987 on vinyl. Overkill, Testament, Savatage, Manowar, White Lion, Kix, Anthrax...don't remember the rest.

I collected concert t-shirts and basball jerseys from just about all the shows I went to during the 80's. Of course, shortly after my Mom tossed out almost all of those one time never to be seen again tour shirts(Moms just don't get it).

So my prized items are a Dave Prichard guitar pick tossed to me by Dave(R.I.P.) himself.
Original Metallica-Kill 'em All Megaforce pressing with pictures and lyrics on the inner sleeve.

I got an old Accept album, japan version on vinyl. The title is in japanese so I couldn´t tell you...
Destruction : Mad Butcher PicLP
WASP : Animal (F... like a beast) PicLP
Some rare Black Metal stuff.
BTW: I hate all of you guys for having such good items, I bow my head in jealousy :D
