I made the switch to Cubase because a producer better than me said it was time to upgrade to a DAW with a better "engine". I suppose that has something to do with the way the file is exported?
I think what he meant by that was that Ableton isn't the most intuitive for recording instruments, whereas Cubase has a better workflow and editing capabilities. Ableton is amazing for midi in my experience though.
I really do NOT like the midi editor in PT. Honestly I don't really like any midi editor except Logic's. Cubase is about the closest one, and then that new Studio One DAW (Which is pretty bad ass IMO)
