I am 20. Bring it kids... For me I pretty much listen to mostly:

Biohazard
Black Label Society
Dying Fetus
Entombed
Obituary
Pantera
Sepultura
Slayer

At age 20, mmm ...probably mostly US metal bands, but as it is allmost 20 years ago I really couldn't say what I listened to most at that age...guess Queensryche, Anthrax, SOD, Slayer,etc..should be mostly oldschool thrash around that age.

When I was 20 it was the heart of the "grunge" era & that's what I was mainly listeneing to at the time.

A lot of hairbands mixed with Just about every one on the banner above, except for Savatage... Saxon,Maiden,Kiss,Dio,Rainbow,UF0. Hair bands were huge at the time so the crue, warrant, poison, cinderella,Macauley schenker... some of the music has aged well and i still listien to it today, but alot of it has become embarrasssing. At least without being subjected to the videos and the "image" of the bands (make up, clothes, hairspray) the music can come front and center and some of it is still pretty cool

In 1985? I was 26 years old and listening to this:

Agent Steel - Mad Locust Rising and Skeptic Apocalypse

Man...that's tough. I am 31 years old...I'd have to say that age 20 is about the time I really got heavily into COUNTRY music. Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Cash, Merle Haggard, Jerry Reed, stuff like that that my father had always loved and I never gave more than a passing thought. Probably the reason I started getting into old country was the guitar sounds...the twang. I felt like I had heard all there was to hear in metal guitar and was looking for something else to light my fire....

ahh yes!! The year I turned 20!!! I was still listening to a lot of classic rock, old montrose and hagar. great metal; maiden, dio, priest,etc.. and some other breaking bands of the time Aldo Nova, Stone Fury and Fastway, etc. City Kidd with their down home-style rock coming out of Sacramento they became Tesla. 84 was a great year for tours as well ;
Sabbath w/ Gillan in Long beach, Aldo Nova,B.O.C. Triumph and Journey in Pasadena lots of great music I still listen to!

1989....

Accept, Metal Church, Metallica, Powermad, Wrathchild AMerica, Slayer, Dio, Queensryche, Savatage, Bad Company (I think that was the Howe era) Testament, etc.

Forbidden - "Forbidden Evil"
Voivod - "Dimension Hätross"

Well, actually a very good year for heavy metal, though among the albums I´ve just mentioned there are also some to which I didn´t listen very often (including Helloween, Metallica and Anthrax), but releases like those of Fates Warning, Mekong Delta, Znowhite, Forbidden, Anacrusis, Hexenhaus, Sieges Even, Helstar, Original Sin, Meanstreak, Death and Voivod are albums I still enjoy listening to today (though much less frequently than I used to way back then).

In 1986? Basically the same bands I'm hearing now, plus or minus :D

Iron Maiden
Black Sabbath
Thin Lizzy
Rush
Motorhead
Saxon
Baron Rojo
Judas Priest
etc.
