What do you think of Death Metal ?

I'm a fan of Necrophagist, but I wouldn't call them death metal. Not Epitaph anyway. More like metalcore with death metal vocals and Yngwie solos.

Cryptopsy's None So Vile and Whipser Supremacy are the shit though.

-Death
-Morbid Angel
-Obituary(Cause of Death era)
-Entombed('til Wolverine Blues)
-Cryptopsy(their newer shit blows)
-Deicide(1st 3 or 4 albums are great)
-Bloodbath(not rly original or anything but idk i like 'em)
-Celtic Frost(dunno if they are black/doom or death but i like 'em 2 & they inspired a helluva of dm/bm & doom bands iirc)
-Opeth(=D romantic fatal prog death from sweden)
-Meshuggah(not dm, but brutal as fuck and i <3 them)

Necrophagist has got to be Tech Death.

I hear no 'hardcore' elements.

Although I do like Suffocation a bit and Cryptopsy quite a lot.

Death is awesome, Individual and Symbolic are my favs from them.
Morbid Angel = Altars of Madness and Domination
Obituary : I liked Slowly we rot
Deicide : Deicide and Legion
Cryptopsy : None so Vile and Whisper
Bloodbath is ok I guess. Nothing exceptional.
Opeth is their own genre
Meshuggah : I liked Destroy Erase Improve.

Latter Morbid Angel is incredible, definetely more ''groovy'' and progressive than the early stuff, i'm a fan of both eras(Vincent & Tucker). And yeah Slowly we Rot is a very good album but Cause is much better i think.
