i dont really understand what the big deal is about that Lykathea Aflame album... ive listened to it a few times and it doesnt do much for me. Its not bad at all, just majorly overhyped i think

I find their is something very mystical about the album. Comparisons can be drawn to other bands but they all fail to represent what Lykathea Aflame's sound truly is. They are extremely original in a genre that is known for about zero progression. Elvenefris flips the genre on its head, does things that shouldn't work, but surprisingly do and to great effect. More bands should be trying this stuff, truly forwarding the music they play rather than resting on past accomplishments. I have yet to find an album in metal that I am more fond of, and I doubt I ever will.

Its funny that you say that, as I grew tired of Helping the World to See after a mere 5 or so listens whereas God Was Created had much more longevity IMO.

Actually it kinda fuckin sucks.

I've been listening to pretty much no metal. Really been getting into screamo and other "gay" things.
