LOL. Nothing wrong with upgrading your sound. Better to "upgrade" then "downgrade" right? Besides stagnating bands bore me to hell.

I kinda take back what I said a while back ago, write what you can play, what about when you write shit you can only hum in your heard because its so complex, but then just drill it till you perfect it before going into the studio.

Is that what you're doing for this new album? Cause that would be awesome. Nothing improves your playing, and your music, by forcing yourself to adapt to the music in your head. I'd say that bodes really well for the strength of the new material! You know it's good when you feel driven to improve your playing, just so you can play your own stuff lol.
