Definitely. It's that lo-fi grit that really adds to the feeling of early delta blues, like when Lead Belly threw a condenser inside his acoustic guitar..he crafted a totally new sound that channeled that tension in the air..the winds of change flooring cultural boundaries. Pure genius.
