In my opinion:

I have been playing the hell out of it also.
To me both discs are great but I will tell you, I revisited Frequency & I may
actually like it better. I love Frequency. I think that if it had been a double album (in 2009) it would have been my favorite.

The problem is that we are jonesing for a new album by our favorite artists so when it is released we think it is the best thing they ever did (sometimes) esp. if it has been 5 years. Then we revisit their back catalog & see that this may not be the case.

The Road Of Bones is definitely a grower for me as Frequency was not (I was hooked right away), I did not like Dark Matter from the 1st listen (except HOS) & I never listen to it anymore.

Time (& many more listens) will tell....:)

I think that is because you like prog - metal Bob & I don't really care for it.
I am sure Ken prefers Dark Matter over Frequency.
To me: Dark Matter is "Heavy Prog" where Frequency is good old "Neo-Prog", hence my preference.

My updated personal IQ rankings seem to fall into "pairs":
1. Ever (#5 studio album)
2. Subterranea (#6)
3. Road of Bones (#10) (The extra tracks push it ahead of Frequency)
4. Frequency (#9)
5. Dark Matter (#8)
6. Seventh House (#7)
7. The Wake (#2)
8. Tales From the Lush Attic (#1)
9. Are You Sitting...(#4)
10. Nomzamo (#3)

But really, everything between Ever and Bones is very close. Amazing 6 album run!

Galahad---Seize The Day ( 6 Ep songs 2 vertions of each..)

Majestic---Epsilon 1
