Houses Ov Mercury
Metal with an electronic-tinged or disconnected atmosphere. It is commonly embraced by two main forms: The bleak, uncaring industrial, such as Godflesh, etc. Bands whose music sounds devoid of mortal feeling and organic composition are placed here and are enjoyed by many who like their music disconnected from life itself.
Then there's pseudo-industrial, or "techno" metal such as newer ...and Oceans, Aborym, etc. Bands whose music is basic black/death/whatever metal with random techno/synth flavorings is placed here.
Both are commonly used to describe metal, but the former is more of the "true" sense of the word, since "true" industrial (harsh, oppressive, and those kinds of things) has been around since the early days with acts such as Nurse With Wound and Throbbing Gristle in the 70s or so.
