What was the last CD you bought, and what do you think about it?

Andromeda - II=I: I think this cd is great musically but the vocals are very very weak. It's too bad. Still, it's good stuff. I particularly love "Mirages" and "Morphing Into Nothing"

Evergrey - Recreation Day: This one took me quite a long time to really get into. It paid off, because I really enjoy it. However, I do think In Search of Truth was much better.

Madsword - The Global Village: I've been wanting this for a long time. It's really really really really really (continue) good. I very highly recommend it.

OSI: I hate Kevin Moore's voice. I might be able to enjoy some of these songs if he wasn't singing. Luckily I did not buy this one!

Michael Romeo - The Dark Chapter: Wow! I guess people really aren't exaggerating when they call him a genius. I already knew that, but still.

Redemption - Redemption: I need to listen to this one more. The songs seem good, but I'm not crazy about the singer. It's not that he has a bad voice, but there's something about his delivery that I don't care for. Hopefully I'll like the guy singing at ProgPower better.

Absolutly Love it .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The music is soo spacy and intence - Killer.
I don't know why people dont like the vocals either. I dont care 'cpz I do!!!
I call it "The proggiest of all prog bands"
My favourite are Morphing into Nothing. It's like Erotomania (DT) only x 100000..
Also This fragile Surface, Reaching Deep Within and One in My Head are not far off.

These guys are definately in my top 5 bands now.

Sonata Arctica - Winterheart's Guild
Sonata Arctica recorded a perfect album, I like all songs on new album, not as on new Stratovarius-Album, there are some boring songs like Fantsaia. Solos between Jani and Jens (Johansson, Guest-Musician) really rule. The new album of SA is one of the best MM-Albums I've ever heard!!

Actually I haven't heard their first cd, except for one song, so I can't realy compare the two discs. I wasn't aware that everyone had a problem with the vocals...I just don't care for them. It's not necessarily that they're *bad* but imo they aren't very good either.

I bought KARMAKANIC - INTO THE SPECTRA
I LOVE IT !! you can hear GORAN EDMAN on that album. Malmsteens' Eclips and Fire & Ice singer !!!!
awsome voice !! It's more like Prog Rock and not metal, it has on it members from THE FLOWER KINGS !!!! i love it very atmospheric album !
if you into Prog Rock i recomand it !!

I just got Nightwish- Century Child, the new DoF (Dreidle of Filth), the new Anthrax, Amorphis - am universum, and The Best of Queensryche...here are my respective thoughts:
OK, Dissapointing, Pretty Good, Pathetic, and Pissed (Because it skips!) So overall, not a very good haul.
