I enjoy both but I lean towards the full version. These guys do an excellent job of mixing the distorted guitars with the sweet sounds of the keys. I think a lot is lost when you take the guitars away. But basically it's a song that can hold it's own which makes the dark edit a version worthy of praise. But if Eric reads this, this is their worst song.
I havent heard the Dark Edit because i've only heard Silent Tomorrow from the mp3.com page. Great song though I've had that and Dark Fields for Brilliance stuck in my head all day.
HAHAAAAA. My lack of love for this song is known, huh?
actually, the piano part wasn't even my idea- i think it was Chris Djuricic's (engineer/producer on The Knowing) idea at the time, so I kind of had to improv the piano stuff on the spot. The background organ part in the verse was all i planned on doing. so the Dark Edit was a remix the band wanted to do as an extra. actually, I believe it was only named Dark Edit because it was originally supposed to only be featured on the Dark Symphonies' limited US release of the album, with the slipcover- Dark as in the label, not as in the sound of it. but then it ended up on the Pavement European version and the other US version as well
