When I was a student I read 'the 120 days of Sodom' , but I had to stop reading it because it was too disgusting.
Maybe it had something to do with the fact that some people took fiction for fact at that time.

Now I'm reading Harry Potter too... and an interesseting book about the differences between men and women 'Why men don't listen and Women can't read maps' ... Funny, but I think I'm a exception ....

hehe, its funny when men and women are in question.i know what you're saying and its stupid when books try to categorise.its just not accurate.
as far as im concerned,i see myself behaving more like what they describe as man and less as what they descrivbe as woman.and i see the contrary happening to some men.you can never know hehe.interesting subject for sure:)

ah i mostly love the Marqui's writting style,he is very fluid in his speech and hes got a great sense of humour.its been a hard thing to find his books here.some years before he was banned(!)with a law and now they dont print him often.you just have to get his sense, not only the pornographic "front-stage" of his writting.he;s harsh at times tho aye :ill: heeh
ive been searching for a couple of years.im gonna start 120 days of sodom next after Justine.ive already read most of his other stuff tho.
i wish i spoke perfect french so i could read the originals:(

Funny, I'm reading from the same author as you do, this one is called: "why men lie and woman cry", and still Harry Potter ofcourse....

It's the sequel, isn't it?
I only got max. 3 weeks left to do some reading, after that I'll be too busy...

right now i'm reading "war & peace" by tolstoy. amazon had it for 1?, and i don't have anything else left to read. but i ordered neil gaimans "american gods" on recommendation, let's see.
as for books which had an impact on me, definetely the "illuminatus" trilogy :loco: and "at the mountains of madness" by lovecraft

there's a lot of books existing about it now that panic troubles are finally considered as a real disease. Last time i was in the shop there was at least 11/ 12 books about it tho. so even if u dont find the one i told u about, i'm sure u'll find a decent one :)
anyhoo, keep me up to date if u ever find it:)

To all of you people who like sensible, moving, true, down to earth and straight from the heart things I recommend :

Dear America - Letters Home From Vietnam

Just finished reading Che Guevara's Motorcycle Diaries. Very interesting, great travel book that just makes you want to recreate the route and in some parts very funny. Two young lads having adventures..tres bon!

Some great comedy biogs out too, if that's your thing.
Sadly I was an Only Twin- scripts and writings from Peter Cooks work, including some derek and clive and o' course Pete et Dud, "tap, tap, tap on the window, in her shortie nightie, Greta Garbo"

Groucho, where the goons, Cook and all nonsense comedy came from.

Essential Spike Milligan...

Also Mr. Bill Hicks' Biog!
