What ya reading?

I've got it, not read it yet, finished 'smoking in Bed'-conversations with Bruce Robinson, guy who wrote/directed etc 'withnail & I' and who wrote scrrenplay for 'The killing fields' he was also nearly bummed by Franco Zeffirelli, whilst filming Romeo and Juliet...
anyway, those I've spoken to, who have read the hicks biog, said it was V good!
:hotjump: :)

just read The Xenophobes guide to the Hungarian. Very true and funny.. I also have it about the English and Japanese. I still have to buy the Swiss one and others. there are lots of versions, about welsh, kiwis, icelanders, dutch and that but none about irish yet :(

i'm reading this book about the destruction of Atlantis, by Frank Joseph. quite literal and sophisticated research this guy did. he's got all the facts, so i'm expecting a proper conclusion on it.

no no, it would be like a twisted perception of a perspective of a reality fading into...err...what did you say the other day again?

as the book mentions, the Atlantean population had a certain social attitude, providing cultural harmony and economic stabilty as well as the fact that the educational system never comprimised on anything at aim of expansion of knowledge.
then it got hit by a meteorite, and 99.9% of Atlantis was gone. so most of the 'evidential' research may be regarded as speculation.

A book that has left a good impression on me was Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451..oh an Aldous Huxley's Brave New World

im gonna write a book about atlantis. ill say that men put women into slavery there, and that therefore everything was going really good. then ill say that it got hit by a meteorite, and 99.9% of Atlantis was gone. so most of the 'evidential' research may be regarded as speculation.
