What's The Best Amp For My Budget ?

Im looking to spend about £400-500 just after xmas.

The amps going to be used pretty much for just recording in my home studio.

So far on my list to try and look at is;

Bugera 6262 and 333XL
Peavey Windsor and XXX

Any others you guys think I should look at ?

I guess I'm looking for an awesome high gain amp that wont let me down.
I dont have any issue with buying second hand amps either.

This will be my first valve head ever and I'm pretty excited about it. I'd just like to make sure i get something that not only I think is nice but other people find pleasing on the ears too!

Please help me with this so that I can finally move away from my line 6 xt!

out of those four i would say the 6262 and the xxx

I would say XXX but it's got a kind of unusual tone that sounds kind of rectofierish. You may not like it, it's kind of wet and less aggressive than say a 5150, maybe even the Windsor with a boost in front of it. That being said xxx's still got a ton of gnards and I love it and sounds amazing under mic.
