KotSK Parts I and II are about as good as power metal gets, with the possible exception of Ramma Gay and some BG. Really, that's all you need from the genre IMO.

I stand by Twisted Tower Dire - The Isle of Hydra as a lot better than most power metal.

Dopethrone is pretty god damn amazing. If you dig that, and you should, get some Ufomammut as well. It's like, nuclear waste metal or something.

That one would qualify as well. Beyond heavy heavy stuff.
