Far too many. Some of the time I wonder about selling everything apart from the maybe 10 or so albums that I find TRULY outstanding, and getting rid of the rest. But I never do.

Pretty much all because my computer is my stereo, so I rip my CDs at high bitrates. I take CDs with me when I go to friend's houses and thats about it, and since I don't really share musical tastes with anyone I know in vancouver... they stay on the shelf.

let me guess...mp3?
Indeed

I rip 'em and put them in the shelf and they rarely leave unless 1) I'm going out and need some CD's for the discman, or, ironically 2) I want to listen to one of those CD's I rarely if ever listen to, because I don't keep the shittier ones ripped

Who hasn't ever thought doing so? :loco:

I think that everyday.

I would say 50% of my CDs never leave the shelf (for months at a time).
