whats your go to NIN syle synth ?

Got a track that is quite that needs a synth sound like this
im using logic 8 and have komplete 5

what synths/patches do u guys use to get some NIN style sounds both light and heavy ( iassume he uses various things)

whilst im here what do u use for bass too ? i,ve got a an exs 24 bass clean and a copied one with trash on it to beef it up at the mo

any ideas for alternatives ?

if we could stick to using what i already have i'd be grateful

If it was me I would use ( out of your rig) massive and es2, and layering ridiculous amounts of it. If you have pod farm, "reamp" those basslines thru it to get the nastyness

But then again, there's may NIN eras...my go to synth for those sounds depends, nord lead, waldorf Q or mfb kraftzwerg...but having said that, I should say, most of the times, es2 and massive are great, just lopass it a little to give it a warmer sound.

It's just my way of doing that kind of sounds, experiment a lot.

if so how would u sit them in the mix?
