I'm sure it's the language barrier. We had some Japanese students visit our school when I was still in upper secondary school, and their English skills were pretty much "I favorite food is orange" and "I not very good English".

Helsinki, Finland here. As a side note, I've been thinking of moving to Japan in the next few years, perhaps as an exchange student, to broaden my horizons and to study something interesting.

Actually, not really. I get more people going off about how it's the hometown of Evel Knievel, who was a fuckin pure asshole and I'm glad he shattered every bone in his body throughout his life. Fuck him and good riddance.

There just isn't any music scene here, other than the cover bands, a couple of kid punk bands, and the few metal bands that my cohorts and I have created. I just long for a bigger scene...a little closer to the one even in Tucson, which wasn't that grand, would be better than what we have here. It used to be one of the biggest cities in the country in the late 1800's/early 1900's due to the mining industry, but it's pretty pathetic now.
