Which album should I start off with?

As the topic asks. I want the best album to start off with, so I can get to know the band.

You forgot to add The Olden Domain but I would say start off with Empiricism

empiricism... it's perfect in every way. quintisence is killer too (i love colossus!!). The clean vox on the archaic course are... not that great imo. yeah, empiricism rules! one of my faves of all time.

It really doesn't matter which album you start off with. You'll need to listen to all of the albums to get the big picture. If I still haveto recommend one album, it'll haveto be The Archaic Course.

It was a close thing between "Empiricism" and "The Archaic Course", but in the end, I went with "Empiricism". Even though my first Borknagar record was "Quintessence" But overall, I just think "Empiricism" sums up Borknagar pretty well, and of course, since it's the only one to date featuring Mr. V, it's probably the best indication of where the band are headed in the future.

Just curios why "olden domain" was left off list. If I could keep only one Borknager it would be Olden.

I think that should now completely confuse you........truth is all Cds are pretty good.
