Which cover artwork artists do you like the most?

I see that the covers have been previously discussed mostly in terms of songs, I think we should pay a little attention not only to the album cover artworks we admire (Bryant's topic), but to the people who made them as well!

My personal favs:

DEREK RIGGS
Ain't it obvious?
I think you all know that this is the guy behind all those ingenious Maiden cover arts. The thing I really miss with most of todays covers is that they're not hand drawn and I like that very much in Riggs' covers. Accident Of Birth is also amazing...

STORM THORGERSON
The man who did the best Pink Floyd covers and some of the best covers generally. Has some really twisted ideas, likes to play with symmetry (check out Dickinson's "Skunkworks"), yet with a very distinct and recognizable style.

ANDREAS MARSCHALL
The guy who did most of the Blind Guardian cover art (the band with possibly the best covers, besides Maiden) and did the work for Hammerfall, Dimmu Borgir and whom not...
His BG works impress me the most, highly detailed pictures (hand drawn!) with lots of vivid colors, one just cannot pass by one of their CDs in a shop and not take a look. The guy simply has it!

I like Eric Larnoy, he made covers for a lot of bands on the French Black Dragon Records label, like Exxplorer, Heir Apparent, Liege Lord, Manilla Road ..... Also those inner sleeves were often very beautiful... Eric died in '96 at age 35.
Some other of my favorit covers are Diamond Head's "Living on ...Borrowed time" (double sleeve with all sides and inside very nice artwork)and Magnum's "Chase the Dragon".

Andreas FUCKING Marschall (my favourite cover artist, completely astounding hand drawings for bands such as Rvnning Wild, Rage, Grave Digger, Blind Guardian, and even more German Power/Speed bands )

Travis Smith is my fav, bar none.

He does art for TONS of metal bands, including Nevermore, Opeth, Katatonia, Anathama, you name it. It's often colorful, but does not fall victim to the silly "cartoon like" atmosphere that so many metal record sleeves display (Riggs).

This reminds me... I'm not sure if his works graced any of the covers, but IMO Boris Vallejo made absolutely the best fantasy art ever!

Derek Riggs followed VERY closely by Joe Petagno (the guy who does all the Motorhead covers).

If you don't believe me about Petagno, take a look at the covers of Rock N Roll, We Are Motorhead, Inferno, Orgasmatron, Another Perfect Day, Everything Louder Than Everyone Else, and on and on!
