Whiskey vs. Vodka

I've gotten certificates on my alcohol knowledge, and I'm working on my sommelier training now.

Definitely whiskey, no questions asked.

However, I'll never say no to good solid Kamikaze on the rocks. That might be my favorite drink right there. I can drink pretty much any whiskey straight or on the rocks, along with mixing it. But I just can't drink vodka straight. It's gotta be mixed with something else.

I'm not sure why anyone would do both crown and seagram 7 in a drink, as it's just two different whiskeys...

so what do you think of the Captain Morgan Private Stock? i think its the tastiest thing evar.

It's pretty good... As of late I've really been enjoying Bacardi 8.

Probably one of my favorites (When I can find it) is Gosling's Family Reserve Old Rum.

You gotta admit though, that the whole Bacardi & Cola slogan "They get the job done." is the most awesome and honest alcohol ad campaign ever. They're pretty much saying "It'll get ya drunk!"

Or dull the pain of a generic white collar job and a fridgid, cheating wife, like in 80% of TV. ;)

Hm.... I can't drink either straight. I go with Vodka. Tho rum being my ultimate favorite. Nothing in the world is better than a proper Mai Tai or Rum Runner in a hollowed out pineapple fer me.
