White noise from monitors...

So all of a sudden I was mixing today and my monitors have started having a constant white noise to them. I swapped cables and all of that and they are still doing it. Any thoughts?

I come to notice that when my DAW is closed or soloed, it isn't there. Which is just as confusing to me.

Well then it isn't the monitors.. probably a plugin then

What computer are you using and what interface connection(usb/firewire) are you using?

Are you using balanced cables?

yup, some demo-plugin is my guess.

What interface are you using? On my when I don't have a power source hooked to my mac, my mbox 2 starts to put noise through the monitors as the battery starts to die because there it does not have its own power source.
