who do you REALLY want to see at progpower?

MANOWAR - now I know that this will never happen cuz Glenn has said so but ... I can dream can't I?!

RHAPSODY - sooner or later Glenn has got to make this happen or I shall run mad!!!

DRAGONLAND - they are my new obsession, hence their addition to this list

HEAVENLY - I thought these guys would have played PP by now ...

LOST HORIZON - I have confidence in Glenn's amazing ability to conjure reunions out of thin air

AXENSTAR - the least likely band to ever play PP but I love these guys, would freak out

LANFEAR - BIG IF here ... the new vocalist better be as good as Althammer or I reserve the right to withdraw this entry

BRUCE DICKINSON - ideally he would do nothing but his solo stuff and close with The Trooper. You guys would have to carry me out.

GAMMA RAY - yeah, yeah they've played here before but ... it's PP ... I want to see them play a big show here

HAMMERFALL - another band I would have thought would have been here long before now

SYMPHONY X - another "yeah yeah" from the old-schoolers, I guess I just really want to see them play a really long set, theoretically for PP, they'd do some really deep-track stuff and hopefully play longer than 90 mins.

CAGE - The Evil Oooooone! We can defeeeaaat him!

DARK MOOR - The dragons are still in my dreams

EDENBRIDGE - Give me one moment of time ...

FALCONER - it's high time ...

AVANTASIA - Once again, I have complete confidence in Glenn's ability to get really cool sh*t to happen, so I want Tobias to bring everyone in and do BOTH ALBUMS back to back in sequence, complete with costumes, back-drops and theatrical lighting and an intermission in between. This would probably take the place of the "2nd tier headliner" on Saturday night (in other words, only 9 bands on the bill total) but ... who the hell would care?! Since this show would probably cost an insane amount of money to put on, I would gladly pay a higher ticket price to accomodate it.

CRIMSON GLORY - Glenn's probably crying now ...

ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA - Glenn ... stop laughing, you can do it, I know you can, just tell them not to play Xanadu and everyone will be fine.

vonFRICKLE - a great choice for the Showcase.

Hmmm ... I may be out of suggestions ... for now ... moo-hahahahahaha!

  • Falconer (this band is so perfect for PP. Can't imagine why they haven't been here yet).

100% agreed!

Swordlord: I also love Axenstar, but I fear Glenn may view them as too generic, and thus, not like them (just speculation, I don't know for sure!) But if Axenstar every plays PP, I will be pleasantly delighted. :)

Bands I REALLY want to see at ProgPower:
Falconer
Tyr

This band's actual name is Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftain.

Its a World of Warcraft based band, that Blizzard loves. They are going to have 'concerts' inside servers.... and such heh. I think that Blizzard made this video for them.

For these very same reasons I would love to see Avantasia in a theater (adapted into a play), so it truly captures the "Metel Opera" feeling. I'd like to see some brief acting as well, but it would still all be about the music.

I think it would slay.

I'll decide what I want to read or not read, if you don't mind.

That's fine...it's your game, but I don't get the negative comment. I didn't get to attend many concerts when I was a teenager and by the time I was old enough to drive, grunge had taken over. :Puke: ProgPower is the one weekend out of the year that I feel like a kid again in alot of ways. I guess that's why I get a kick out of some of these wish list threads. :kickass:

It wasn't a negative comment. It was a rhetorical question. I think most people understood that as evidenced by DreamThief's satirical reply.
