It's electronics are a Single HZ-H4 humbucker with a PA-2 gain booster with switch on the front.

Nice guitar but the booster doesn't make up for HZs.

Yeah it does, it allows a nice clean when off, and a blistering attack when on. it's got more gain then a 81 without a boost.
