It's amazing how different people relate to different personalities, isn't it? For example, I generally don't care for people who focus on bodybuilding, drugs, infidelity, and and crappy 'prog' music, yet there are others out there who do.

I put prog in quotation marks to differentiate between actual progressive music and the 'prog' genre which is a bunch of bullshit that only idiots who think it makes them seem intelligent listen to. Bodybuilding is fine, but having your life revolve around it is an indication of grave insecurities.

I wouldn't say it's random, I just don't like the qualities that prog rock has. It's whole point is to be large and complex and I don't like that in music.

I'm guessing that you don't like classical music and jazz music for the same reasons as you don't like prog rock.

The only prog rock bands I like are Yes, The Flower Kings, Asia and Porcupine Tree. Classical and jazz are awesome.
