I may or may not be going to see Firewind when they're on tour. i hope to god that i can. i'm also planning on joining firekeepers, and apparently you can meet the band if you're a fanclub member.

to those of you who have met the band?

what did you say or do with the band? i met mike portnoy (dream theater) and i just felt so awkward and nervous i just said "hi" and got an auto with a pic. so help me out!

oh yeah, if you're a fanclub member, can you bring cameras to the show?

I've met them every time I saw them. Every time, we just talked, chilled, shared laughs. They're really cool and funny people, so just talk to them as if you were talking to a friend that you haven't seen in a long time, and conversation will just flow. There's nothing to worry about!

And the camera thing depends on the venue. I always have my camera at every single show I go to, but I know that some venues (or most venues) in the US restrict camera use.

Well I dunno. You said you were from Connecticut yeah? Ever been to a show there? Cos then if you have and they didn't have a no-camera rule, then you can obviously take your camera with you, snap off pictures of the show and then if you meet the band, chill with them and have some pictures.

* raises hand* Ooooh!!! OOOH!!!! I've met them more times than I can count. First time was mainly just pictures and autographs. Second time (the next day) was more relaxed as there was an aftershow party and we just all got drunk and chilled.
Third time (two days after the 1st time) I met them I got to have a proper conversation with Apollo, took him to McDonalds and he got someone to take a picture on HIS camera with me and Alan. Was really relaxed.

Next time I met them was BOA, they signed a Firewind thong and Alan hung out with Mark Cross. I think the next time I PROPERLY met them again was Zaragoza. I text Bob and he came and met us outside the venue and we talked for like 15 minutes before they went onstage. Then we met them the next weekend at PPScandinavia and it was pretty laid back.

Oh and I met them all again in January and it does actually just feel like talking to an old friend. Actually spent about 7 hours with Apollo but that's totally due to a sheer coincidince with being on the same flight to the same destination with a 5 hours layover!!!

I've just realised I've met Firewind waaaaaaay too much O_O

Like I told you, Apollo is the only member I haven't met (I still dunno why or how!) yet! I hope I'll finally get a hold of him during the tour.

No, damn it! The '...' was to create a sense of atmosphere.

"He has a secret..." *looks off to the side of the camera and looks very noble* *camera zooms out, credits roll*

xx Kirsty

LMAO i think apollo is suitable for this role!he has a 'serious', dark and mysterious look on his face! :err:

well i suppose kirsty's job is a director???

oh and on topic i've only seen/met firewind live 2 times, but saw Gus and Bob a couple of times with other bands too... every single time we talked like old friends and orcslayer you can be sure that they don't bite or eat people!!! on the opposite, they are as cool and friendly as u can imagine!

you know there r some famous people who think they are 'someone great' and don't like to talk to us mortals! but firewind r nothing like this (at least until recently!)... they LIKE to speak with us mortals, even though they are Gods!!! so go on and give them a hug!!
