FIREWIND To Tour U.K. With STRATOVARIUS !

Guitarist Gus G. of Greek melodic metallers FIREWIND has issued the following update:

"Even though we tourd the U.K. hard in 2008 and are still planning to kick some serious ass at the Hellfire Festival next month, when the opportunity came to do this tour with STRATOVARIUS, we just couldn't say no.

"U.K. and Ireland have turned out to be some of the best places on earth for FIREWIND when it comes to our ever growing fanbase and on how dedicated our fans are in these countries. Teaming up with STRATOVARIUS
makes this such a killer package. They are a band with quality, catchy
melodic songs and a high level of musicianship. They are pioneers in
their genre. They are definitely a band that has inspired us and we are
honoured to share the same stage with them!!

"So what can you expect from FIREWIND
on this one? a) your face melted by our Metal, b) a different setlist,
and c) maybe even an exclusive brand new track? See you out there very

Join us!!! I'm gonna have to beg my manager at work tomorrow, it's slap bang in the middle of year end which we're not supposed to have holidays in... but i reckon three days (which is all i need) i shouldn't have a problem with...

Kables & Epic UK Trip - Part II

Started looking stuff up. Wolverhampton Travelodge - £29!
Nottingham £39.
Glasgow - my house!
London Kings Cross - £49.
Manchester - £19!!! Although I might just get a train at like 5am to Glasgow.

Alan has expressed an interested in coming too! So we'll see what happens! Between 3 people it works out about £45 each! Legend.

ok... manchester you can kip at mine i you want, get a train from mine to glasgow
nottingham - no point staying there then driving to glasgow...

so, idea:
travel to Wolverhampton separately
All stay in Wolves = £29 between 3
I drive us to nottingham (petrol money between three... not a lot)
after nottingham i drive us back to leeds, my house (or you at yours if you've moved) (petrol money between 3)
next day train to glasgow, stay at yours after gig(if i'm invited of course)
train to london - Travelodge (£49)
I'm possibly then gonna have to train it to leeds, then drive back to manc so i can drive home (or i'll never get back to work)
i drive us back to leeds after the gig, you guys stay at mine, go back to glasgow next day..

comments? suggstions?
all this based on whether ican get time off work, will asktomorrow

Even if you don't get time off work - you should at least try get to the first 3 (Wolverhampton, Nottingham & Glasgow)!

i should be able to... just it's year end... i'll have a word with my manager though
if not, wolverhampton... i depends what time the gig starts, over a two hour drive down there and i don't finish work til 5
nottingham and manchester are definites regardless!
glasgow... would mean a five hour drive home before work... will have to see...

lol, remember Wolverhampton Firewind? Not leaving the bloody bus til 4am!!! Then you had work in the morning and I had to be up at 7am to catch a flight to Dublin.

Well closest is Manchester, Rock city is brilliant, Wolverhampton was sold out last time so am going for the trip, and glasgow if i can make it. so hopefully four of them. =D
You guys still going to hellfire reet? my tickets aint arrived yet =/
