Why doesn't cool stuff like this happen in the USA?

I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but there's a related video for a T-Mobile advert "Life's for Sharing" in Europe that is extremely similar. If this is a setup for one of those, commercials outside of the US are a lot more "epic." I don't know if it's a difference in attention span, cheaper commercial space, or a mix of both and other things but it's really weird to watch 2 minute long "movie" commercials that often have very little to common with the actual product they're advertising, when you're so used to our 30 second blocks hitting you over the head with what they're selling. I can tell you I'd far rather watch that T-Mobile commercial a hundred times than see another one of those Verizon "Can you hear me now" ones ever again. Those commercials make me want to punch that guy in the face.

If it's not a setup for a commercial, just ignore everything I just said ;)

It's cool, but it would have been far cooler if it had been an easier dance, so passers by could have easily joined in. I saw some did, but they kinda stood out as they didn't know what to do next.

We've had stuff like that happen here, least we have in Atlanta. It's just a matter of being there when it happens. ;)

See, that's cool. Have you ever been around when something like this happened? It would be so cool. I'd love to take part in this kind of thing.

I'll be expecting Nailz to que up and start the 'Thriller' track and dance at Progpower

Funny you should mention...

I haven't been around when they do, but they did a "freeze" at one of the main MARTA stations. Not to mention, the CN guys are always coming up with something to do downtown. But the best one was D*C being held during the Salvation Army conference. Nothing like Darth Vader and the Imperial Guard regiment (with a storm trooper regiment) walking toward the Salvation Army group of equal size. If only someone had video tape of that.
