fuck, why people don't know what nu metal is? nu metal is mix of rap and metal, like linkin park,papa roach, p.o.d, slipknot, does cob have rap on their song?hell no, and IMO cob is going heavier way, not lame way as something nu metal, so fuck you and shut the fuck up, if you don't know what you're speaking.

i like old and new bodom, i like even more new bodom, i loved hate crew deathroll, i have liked much these new songs what i have heard, and, you know, listen a fucking hate crew deathroll, and say after that if it is nu metal. and, listen in your face also, there is good THRASH riffs and stuff, what doesn't remind me about nu metal, and i think i should know these things, because i listen nu metal something like 2 years, before i found bands like Children of bodom etc.

Go listen to it live and tell us if bodom is nu metal. You just don't recognize good music when you hear it. Limp Bizkit you can listen to with low volume, but hey, bodom sounds the better the more volume you have.
And just my opinion, bodom has got much better album by album. Something Wild pretty much sucks, Hatebreeder is much better but terribly overrated, Follow the Reaper could've been great if it was recorded in the same studio as the Hate Me single, but the sound on the album just sucks, it's tuned to suit Everytime I Die, then Hate Crew Deathroll is a bit boring but it's great music and their best work so far. And what's for sure is that Are You Dead Yet? will be another huge step forward. It's the way I think.

Old bodom and new bodom are just as good as each other. Both have very technical/awesome songs. Just because they are developing their sound doesn't mean they are fucking nu-metal (except metallica). If bodom kept bringing out albums that sounded exactly the same, i wouldn't bother listening to them. I'm glad they have developed as it blatently shows an improvement on song writing and playing.

yepp.. Are You Dead Yet is pretty heavy if you ask me.. melodic and catchy chorus.. and it has that classic bodom interlude.. love it... it's just that I've heard that melody somewhere before.. it's driving me fucking insane.. but the chorus is catchy as fuck.. maybe better then In Your Face.. Id put the new stuff as American Metal personally. The same kinda sound as Pantera or Black Label Society.
I personally don't see their progress as a positive thing, because they are neglecting the sound which got them where they are today.
If they would combine the technicality/neo classical influences with this new heavy sound I think they would be on to something. But at the moment, for me its starting to sound a little generic.
