Wolfeman and other amp tech guys...

Wolfeman: Thanks for joining in :) Do you happen to use AIM or anything? If so, and if you don't mind, do you care to kinda collaborate (read: walk me through some details, lol) on this?

Hades: Same goes to you sir! Let me know if you use AIM or MSN or anything.

I have AIM but never use it

And BTW if it were me, I would just build the pre from scratch using your amp as a guide.... If I had to guess the parts would cost you less than $250.... Not having to buy an output transformer saves big bucks.

And, I think I have the working schem for your amp from the SLOclone forums... I'll have to dig it up.... It's almost the same as a Lee Jackson(crate BV) design, just with the sweep added.

The first thing I did when my first MTS module arrived in the mail was to bust out the ol' multimeter and check which of those twelve contact points on the back formed a circuit. I have no use for that knowledge yet, but I just had ta know. :) I suspect they put so many seemingly unnecessary contacts on there specifically to intimidate people out of trying to engineer their own MTS compatible products.

Actually, I'm pretty sure if you ask him, Bruce Egnater over at the Rig-Talk forums would gladly tell you anything you want to know about em!!!!

Sweetness Mark! I have no clue what I'm looking at, but at least it looks sparse! (and thus easily rack-mountable...maybe?)

Seems really basic...this doesn't seem like such a big mountain to climb after all hmmmmmmm nnnnnnnyyyyyyyyeeeessssssssssss.

Agreed. I wonder is Wolfe got a chance to find that schem he was talking about. Otherwise we I'll have to take mine apart (like I said I would a couple of weeks ago ) and start figuring out the board.
