Good match between Germany and Spain, shame Germany didn't advance. Enjoyed watching Spain during their attacks though, they were the better team in the match-up for sure. Us dutchies would've liked a final against the germans, as a rematch for the '74 final, but I guess we're just gonna have to beat the Spanish

Whether they win or not, there's gonna be a new World Champion. An 8th one, one that has never won the cup before

I've enjoyed watching Spain and Germany in this tournament but I think Spain deserved it on the night. Should be a cracking final too....and a new winner of the cup whatever happens!

Webb's a good ref though, happy with the Fifa's decision to put him on the match. And I don't think it's going to be a nasty game in terms of fouls, since that's neither the dutch or spanish style of play.

So Paul the Octopus, who's been getting all of Germany's matches right so far predicted Germany to become third and Spain to win the WC However, Pauline, a dutch octopus with some measure of success in predictions has predicted Holland to win. Also a parakeet from Singapore, named Mani, has predicted Holland to win as well. And he's been right the past few times as well.

How about tonight's game? I think it's gonna be an open match, both sides having nothing to lose anymore. With suarez back, I think Uruguay will be able to offer the Germans some good resistance. Match will end in 2-1 for Germany, after extra time.

Saw part of the Uruguay vs. Germany match, and it was nice to look at. Guess the Germans deserved the win cos they played their version of dutch total football. I still think what Suarez did is a valid move. He got his punishment and got to play this game. If Asamoah Gyan would've put the penalty in, nobody would've mentioned the hands ball anymore. So I would've supported Uruguay even if they would've beaten Germany today, but Germany's obviously the rightful #3 this tournament (cos they won )
