Worship music leaked

Johnnie just reminded us that Joey has a 2 year contract...that started back in 2010...so there can't be that many months left...and what is 2 years in Anthrax fan's life anyway....NOTHING!

T:)

Well I doubt they would not prolong it if things go well businesswise. But this has always been a band full of drama (Italians are dramatic) so it might also depend on how much they can (or can't) stand each other personally.

1. I'm waiting dammit. I've waited 8 years, so what is 4 more days?

2. I would like to hear Joey do the Bush-era stuff. I don't want to see those songs die, as I think they're great. And frankly, after hearing the few tracks of WM that NB posted on youtube, I think Joey can handle them.

If I remember correctly - and I always do - John Bush was asked to join 'cos Scott and Charlie were tired of Joey not contributing anything to POT - he just sang. They wanted someone who could write lyrics etc...plus of course they needed to replace bird with lion...

T:)

I remember that too. They were close to firing him after SOE.

Really looking forward to receiving my legit Digi Book album from the UK later this month - in the meantime I don't feel so bad about the download (as a rule anyway if I download an album and I like it, I go buy it from the store - do the right thing and support the artist).

im pretty sure thats not entirely true, scott and chuck dictated what he could and couldnt do,even john bush contributed little after sown wasnt a smashing success, theres 2 sides to every story, contributing lyrics to a couple songs on sown and 1 on wcfya doesnt exactly mean bush gave much or was allowed to give his input to the band,i respect both singers but im sick of hearing how bush contributed so much to the band yet joey did nothing...

I never post here, but I've been an Anthrax fan since I was 11 years old...and I'm 32. I just had to come here and say that I fully agree with the previous poster who said that this could be their greatest album. I still think SOWN will outshine it in certain places and I've always preferred Bush, but the thing I was so impressed with on this album was Joey's voice. It's utterly fantastic and I'm really glad he's singing in a lower register.

It's not really a heavy album per se, but there are some skull crushing riffs in it. It's not a very fast album, actually, and it sounds closer to something you'd hear on a decent radio station. The hooks in this album...holy shit...THE FUCKING HOOKS!!! The Giant has to be the most frustratingly catchy song with the most infuriatingly epic and catchy chorus. This is an album whose focus is on the songwriting, much like SOWN was. Some songs sound akin to something you could have heard on Alice in Chains' last album.

Still, the shining star of this album is Joey. I never thought I'd ever say that but he fucking killed it and did an amazing job.

Out of all Four Horsemen, I'm gonna put my balls out there and say this album is better than any of the previous two albums the other three Horsemen have put out. I love Megadeth but this could quite possibly be Anthrax's magnum opus. If they called it quits tomorrow, I would not feel cheated in the slightest after hearing this gem.

Just listened to the album from begining to end in my car in a good system. Still not really getting how people are saying 'its the best album Anthrax has ever done" I think there is some good stuff. But its not epic, not amazing. It's 'good' but I think they can do better. I will still say its better than the past 3 albums. But don't think its better than SOWN and certainly not better than Among The Living, Spreading the Disease, or Persistence of Time.

I've got all of Anthrax's albums, and out of all of them Among the Living is the most overrated album in their entire catalogue. It's just boring. I just don't get where all this praise came from for it, and not just the fans but the media too. PoT was head and shoulders above it and SOWN was eons above it. Indians and Caught in a Mosh? Why do people go on and on about these songs? Meh...

SoE has literally four good songs on it: Be All End All, Make Me Laugh, Antisocial, and Finale.

I really don't understand all the praise that comes between 1986 and 1990. They got much, much better with PoT.

I spent over a hundred bucks on Anthrax this week between ordering the album, the shirt and beer stein, as well as other shirts. No concert tix, because there is no Cleveland show.

Not to mention I'm broke because I just bought my first house, so I don't feel bad downloading a week early.

Good luck with that mortgage, man. You gotta make it work.
The times ain't easy, but you gotta make it work.
Hey, guys... Do we have a millionaire or two in the house? Don't you, pricks, feel ashamed when decent and hard-working people have to struggle to make their fucking ends meet?

OK, so some people think it's the best, and some don't...So what! Why do you always have a problem with other people's tastes? I don't get it. :goggly:

The greatest proof that worship music is one of the best albums of anthrax is that many people all over the web has a different favorite song.

some say that earth and hell, others the devil you now, fight em, crawl, other in the end, the giant, Judas Priest, the constant

there is no evidence larger because the disc meets all tastes and that's the greatest thing that has worship music

Boring? It's only one of the best thrash metal albums of all time

It's no wonder you like the Bush years. You probably aren't a thrash metal fan either. But whatever floats your boat

Just stating my opinion on the new album like everyone else. And yeah I don't understand how anyone could think this is the best Anthrax album ever created. Especially when it's only been 'out' for a few days. The classic albums have been out 20+ years and still hold the test of time.

Often times when new albums come out people are so excited that they tend to get all emotional about the latest album.

Just about every time a band puts a new album out half the fans crown it the best album ever. Then after a year they change their tune.

I think that same thing will happen with this album.

If in a years time people are still saying Worship Music is better than Persistence of Time, Among The Living, Spreading The Disease, and Sound of White Noise I will take that seriously... for now I honestly think its just a bit of over reaction to a new album.

It must really suck to have such a hatred for Joey knowing that even most of the die hard Bush fans are praising his performance on Worship Music. I am sure you were praying that Worship Music would have sucked and everyone hated Joeys vocals on it. But it is pretty much the exact opposite. Most people think its a great album and most people think Joey sounds amazing on it. Sucks to be in your situation.

You may need to go get a box of tissues and go listen to some Volume 8
