Yes Killers has some great stuff on it, but so does every Maiden album. Purgatory is one of my favourite Maiden songs, and The Ides Of March and Drifter rock really hard as well. I like Wrathchild and Murders In The Rue Morgue, but think both are some of the most overated Maiden songs. No songs I really dislike, but it doesn't really do much for me at all overall, where as an album like Virtual XI or even Seventh Son has lower lows, but also higher highs to balance it out. Killers is pretty mediocre.

I'm not sure I will ever understand people rating Dance Of Death the lowest of the low. It would probably be in my top 5 or so Maiden albums.

Spruce, ceydn, Dougie and Priest of Evil, you all suck.

I don't understand the appeal of Dance of Death. It has three (3) songs that I consider to be great. Unfortunately, two of these, Wildest Dreams and Mr Rainmaker, are the first two tracks, which means that I can't bring myself to listen to the rest of the album for the other great song, Journeyman. That's a lot of average songs. Perhaps they should have just released a three track EP. Best three track EP ever, that woulda been. :headbang:

Virtual XI for me, only just though, as Fear of the Dark is pretty close.

When Two Worlds Collide, The Angel and The Gambler, Lightning Strikes Twice and Don't Look To The Eyes of a Stranger are pretty awful - bad lyrics and some cringe worthy musical passages.

Weekend Warrior, The Apparition and Judas Be My Guide are pretty weak too.

Dance of Death is good, but I don't like the production. Apparently Kevin Shirley is on board again for the next album, so I hope he goes back to the sound of Brave New World!

He produced Dance Of Death as well though, so who knows. I liked the production, it was only having the vocals so low in the mix that I was unhappy with.

I am not a great fan of Judas Be My Guide either, but some people here are. I don't really get it. I do like Fear Is The Key however, which many seem to hate.

Lightning Strikes Twice is cool, Don't Look To The Eyes of a Stranger would be fine if it stopped half way through, and When Two Worlds Collide is alright as well. Virtual XI is full of great material, it just comes across as weak as an album IMO.

I think the biggest problem i have with vx1 is the lame lyrics and the repetitive chorus'
And the fact that it followed TXF which i consider one of maidens best albums.
