i noticed that many of you don't like the song wreath or at least think that it is one of the weakest songs of opeth.

i think it's one of the greatest: it has such a power.every fuckin' word is hard and speaks for itself....in my opinion it's one of the best piece of lyric mikaeal has ever written ! but maybe i just can identify with the lyrics very well....

ok, musical it is not the most complicated song but no song ist harder than wreath !

what do you think ?

I totally agree with you man - as soon as the drums kick in and the guitars kick ur ass u know its a killer song
the lyrics are great and it is fuckn heavy - could do with a bit more of a mellow part but its still one of the best songs off deliverance

Hmm, it's not bad, I really like some of the riffs, but not all. In compare to the rest of the album, I think it is the weakest..

The "Human Harvest Burning" riff is like a stiff punch in the face.

Took, me a few listens to appreciate it, I was just getting into Opeth at the time and was so overwhelmed with their catalogue, one fine day it clicked and now it gives me a boner.

I like the beginning and the end. The rest is iffy. As far as lyrics go, I just don't think Mikael spent enough time writing for Deliverance and Damnation. Rotten earth and insects/Endless night/Always preserving the calm/Movement behind/Bleeding animals in a field of fire? Wha? I'm trying to find a meaning in it all, but Mikael really fell short on the lyrics here. He shouldn't have written them while recording.

I love it. It's such a cold song. The lyrics make no sense but they're great, and I love the way he growls "human harvest burning/blackest pages turning".
