Wrestlemania 25

Seriously HBK & Undertaker will go down probably as the greatest match in Wrestling history, that was absolutely epic.

There were greater matches than that one, but it will be remembered as one of the better ones

meh, to me that was great, but whatever. Seriously I have never seen anyone kickout of a tombstone...I literally flipped out at the amount of kickouts HBK did.

Overall, the whole show was ok. Most of the matches were'nt super entertaining, besides the MITBLM.

On the attitude era disucssion. It was great for a while but WWE burned the candles at both ends and after a few years the style was contra productive and they had to get away from it. They didnt get away from it because it worked but because it had run its course.

On to WM25:

I am quite happy with wrestlemania this year despite poor build up. However it was a fucking CRIME to not let Taker and HBK go on last. I said so for months and so did everyone else. Instead we got Wrestlemania X-8 all over again where people didnt care about the main event. It ruined a perfectly good card.

MITB was good and CM Punk got the win again. I didnt expect it but Im happy with it. It would have made a better moment if Christian had won it when he was really close.

Santino is funny but for whatever reason I didnt really appreciate his stuff tonight.

Steamboat looked awesome for his age and considering he hasnt wrestled since 1994. As I predicted Jericho got the win and Rourke got to beat up Jericho. Good for what it was - steamboat made this great.

Matt won over Jeff. The right choice and a good match. The angle will continue.

Rey won over JBL and JBL will retire (for real I might add). Not much of a match but good for what it was and for a certain shock value.

Taker vs HBK stole the show as most of us knew it would. Awesome match. And it should have been the last one of course. Scary dive by Taker having him land on his head. He could easily have been crippled. Taker won of course but they did a pretty good job teasing that HBK would win.

Edge vs Big Show vs Cena - I laughed so hard at Cenas intro when the other Cenas made the "you cant see me thing". That looked (unintentionally?) hilarious. I was worried that the audience wouldnt have much left in them after the last match. Luckily they did. I think alot has to do with Cena being so over but also Edge being a great heel. Good match with Cena winning as expected.

Orton vs HHH - As I said a rerun of Wrestlemania X-8. Poor booking made no one care about this. This should have been the "in-the-middle-of-the-show-main-event" ala Flair vs Savage at Wrestlemania 8. Everyone knew but WWE. As a result the audience didnt care and it came off as very poor. Weird thing to have HHH win. It makes no sense and buries Orton. Reports say they might try to do things right on tonights RAW but it will take some time for Orton to regain momentum I think.

Overall I enjoyed most of the show. The only thing that was bad was the placing of the main events which I think is the reason HHH vs Randy Orton came off as such a poor match. Otherwise I liked it.

i thought the hhh match was pretty good
~gR~

Good for you! Both me and my brother shat on it. I mean it wasnt bad as in Taker vs Gonzales or anything but it was the wrong kind of match, with the wrong kind of finish at the wrong place on the card. It was supposed to be personal, a bloodfeud, and they worked a slow kick/punch style match, did nothing to try to win the fans back into it and the finish saw HHH destroy Orton. And oh yeah, HHH is a face and cheated to win.

Im just now reading reports on it online and no one seems to think they worked the match they should have.

I watched it last night, it was great all around. WWE really stepped up with the quality last night, even the Money in the Bank match, which is a minor note compared to the rest was great, I was glad me and my Dad got it.

Dude, the moment of the night. Jeff jumping off the top of the ladder, and like breaking his spine lol...That shit was insane, I can't imagine how much that would have hurt.

I agree with the HHH/Orton fight. The McMahons and Priceless should have gotten involved in the match.
