Xbox or Ps2

If you want 5.1 surround sound and HD digital video output, you'll have to buy an extra kit thingy. Don't know how much they are, but would probably a lot.

The Xbox has craploads of great games (and im not even counting the arcade/console emulators you can get for it. An entire cd filled with every Super Nintendo game ever that you can play on your Xbox? Cds filled with nearly every arcade game ever that are emulated on your tv? Plus you can get Playstation 1 emulators to play those as well. The Xbox can run just about anything a pc can if tweaked enough!)

Halo is insanely overrated. But Dead Or Alive 3, Panzer Dragoon Oorta, Steel Battalion, Morrowind, Wreckless, Burnout 2, House Of The Dead 3 and Robotech are all great :D

I wouldnt mind checking out the Clone Wars game. You get to control the armies and that....

Or Morrowind looks good too Spawny... What are those kind of games called again?? The ones like Age of Empires and that... point and click? I dunno... Anyway, I want a good one of those where you build armies and you can play for hours cause each time its different

The outdoor levels and multiplayer modes are the best I've ever seen.
The indoor levels and the whole 'the flood' thing, are poo.

 Blitzy, you have obviously never played Morrowind on a pc have you? Ill take a STABLE Xbox version over bug ridden filth any day of the week! :)

Sydo: I agree about the indoor levels, boring as hell, but even the outdoor levels were nothing all that special, I certainly wasnt saying it was bad, just that its overrated :)

RTS (real time strategy) games are shocking on consoles. Definately should be played on a PC.

I agree. There's nothing better than warring with the Vikings in one window and viewing porn in the other. :headbang:

Why do people always assume that console games are more stable than PC games? The difference is that console programmers know the hardware that they're targetting, and there tends to be fewer virus and other malicious programs running on a console. That said, a properly set up gaming PC will blow any console you care to name out of the water, anyway you want to measure it.

Having said that, a properly set up gaming PC will probably cost 6 times as much as a console, but what the hey.

For mine, I'll take PC gaming over a console any day of the week.

Even on Noogieday? :erk:

I'm sure if I had the money I'd enjoy my computer more. I'm sure if I had the time I'd enjoy my gaming more too.

Some games work best on PC, some work better on consoles. RTS games, most first person games and lots of RPG and adventure games work better on PC, but pretty much all platform games work better on consoles, along with some adventure, some first person etc. Can you really imagine playing an awesome platform game like Mario64 on a PC? :)

Its not an assumption that console games are more stable, they are! And while pc programmers have difficulties when there are so many configurations, games are STILL bug ridden to shit on a pc. Its extremely rare to see a game that doesnt have a patch out the day of its release!
