XTL or NS-2...

Should I just spring for an NS-2 to run with my XSr™ or does anyone know if I use my XT Live just for a noise gate if it would work? I've been hearing that using the XTL would mess with the tone, which is something I don't want. But I do need a gate of some kind.

I would go with the NS2, it does the job better than XTL's gate on amps for me

NS-2 for sure. I have one and it's a life saver when all kinds of unwanted feedback and noise is present. highly recommended!

I picked up the NS-2 and its great, can kill off a bit of the sustain, so i turn it off during solo's.

I think the GT-8 has a NS-2 built in.
