Different people have different views of what "normal rights" are. So having them determined on a state-by-state basis for the more controversial ones actually creates some freedom of choice without leaving the country.

Everyone has to pay taxes since it's PART OF THE FUCKING CONSTITUTION. The IRS is merely an organization used to collect them. If the IRS were to be abolished, the US government would still collect taxes, just through other means.

Are you a proponent of the consumption tax? I know some people think that taxes should be done away with completely, but that's not feasible since governments are run by way of tax dollars.

Obviously taxes are a necessity, but taxing production is fundamentally wrong. I'd rather go with maybe a graduated sales tax and get rid of the income tax. That creates an element of choice.
I have read several articles in the past showing how all the major facets of government are funded by taxes other than the income tax, and how the income tax isn't directly for anything. Been a while though, I'd have to do some digging to pull the information up again.

Yes, I realize that people would still be required to pay taxes... however the IRS is in place in ensure that citizens actually do so. Nobody's paying taxes if there isn't a threat. If we abolish the IRS, who do you expect to make sure of that? Perhaps we'll make another organization who will take care of that...

I won't get into an arguement over gay rights because that can't go anywhere but in circles. However, abortion is murder. Period. What about the fucking rights of the child?
